Raetihi farm sale attracts 150
Buyers from Wanganui, Taihape and Taumarunui were amongst the 150 people who attended Mr Johnny Paterson's clearing sale in Raetihi last Monday. Mr and Mrs Paterson are leaving their farm to go to a "warmer climate further north." Their son Craig will be taking over the farm. Auctioneer at the farm sale was Mr Bernie McGahari from Wrightson NMA. Items sold included: rotary slasher $850, tattoo set $80,
electric dagging plant $390, hand pieces $155, saddle $160. Fencing material sold from $2 up to $35, wooden posts from $38 up to $51, battens $172 per bundle, 1 1 foot gate $72, hay rack $1 52,
90 gallon petrol tank $100, assorted timber $30, dog kennel $70, tine harrows $105, trailer $50, trailer $200, deer battens $110, coils of netting $47 each, corrugated iron from $3 to $39 per bundle.
