Security service for region?

A security service for residents of Ohakune and Raetihi may be started in the near future if there is sufficient demand from local businessmen and house owners. Mr Denny Crowley, manager of King Country Security Service Ltd, of Taumarunui, who was born in Raetihi, was in the Ruapehu region this week looking into the possibility of expanding his business into this area. Forty-five house-holders or twenty to thirty business people would have to express an interest in the service before Mr Crowley's company could consider

starting twice-nightly security checks in the area. Apart from security patrols, the company would offer advice on securing premises and would also consider wage packaging and cash cartage work. For regular customers in Taumarunui, the company also feeds pet cats and dogs as part of their property minding service! If there is sufficient interest from people in the Ruapehu region, Mr Crowley and his son John, who is a partner in the business, plan to hold a 'security evening' in a local club or hotel, to which they would invite local businessmen and police officers.
