Waimarino County Council RESTRICTIONS ON FIRES The Waimarino County Council, in itscapacity as the Waimarino Rural Fire Authority gives Public Notice, in accordance with the requirements of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, that the Restricted Season for the lighting of fires in the open is hereby cancelled. NOTE: This cancellation does not apply to any areas within 1.5km of any "state area" or forest or declared forest area or Winstone Afforestation. Also it is a requirement that any burn-off operations of harvested grain stubble, or larger burns for land clearances, must still be reported, in advance, to the County Office.
