PUBLIC NOTICES Ohakune Borough Council NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY RATES for the Year Ending 31st March 1986 Notice her hereby glven under the provisions of Section 52 of the Rating Act 1 967, that the Ohakune Borough Council intends at its Ordinary Meeting to beheldon 20th June 1985, to make and levy thefollowing rates for the year commencing 1st April 1985 and ending 31st March 1986. Firstly Pursuant to Section 175 of the Local Government Act 1974 a Consolidated Rate of 4.481 4 cents in the dollar on all rateable property in the Borough of Ohakune, on the basis of Land Value such Consolidated Rates to comprise General Rate 3.1967 cents in the $ Catchment Rate 0.1661 cents in the $ Recreation Rate 0.9928 cents in the $ Sewerage Rate 0.0942 cents in the $ United Council Rate 0.031 6 cents in the $ Consolidated Rate 4.4814 Secondly A Uniform Annual General Charge underthe provisionsof Section 157A(a) of the Local Government Act 1 974 of $1 05.00 on every separately rateable property within the Borough. Thirdly A Uniform Annual Charge for Water (Ordinary Supply) under the provisions of Section 158 (1) and (1a) of the Local Government Act 1974 as under. On each separately occupied portion of any rateable property to which water is supplied — $48.00. On each separately occupied portion of any rateable property to which water can be, but is not supplied (being a property situated within 100 metres from any part of the waterworks) — $24.00. Fourthly A Uniform Annual Charge for refuse (collection and disposal) under the provisions of Section 163 of the Local Government Act 1974 as under: On each separately occupied portion of any rateable property from which the Council is prepared to remove refuse — $33.00. And notice is given that the above mentioned rates will be payable at the office of the Ohakune Borough Council, 15 Miro Street, Ohakune during Ordinary Office Hours, 9am to 4pm on 30th July 1985. And that anadditional charge of 10% intermsof Section 71 ofthe Rating Act 1967 will be added to all Rates unpaid at the expiration of six months after the date on which the rates are due and payable. (This penalty will be imposed on all Rates unpaid after 31st January 1986). And further pursuant to the provisions of Section 52 of the Rating Act 1967 and Section 121 of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that the Rate Records, Valuation Roll, and the Annual Estimates for the year ending 31st March 1986 are available for public inspection during ordinary office hours at the Borough Council Office, 15 Miro Street, Ohakune.
