Sheep sale
Buyers from Hawkes Bay, Auckland and Wanganui made the trip to Raetihi on Thursday for a sheep sale at the town's stock yards. Five thousand hoggets were offered for sale and prices were described as "satisfactory". Dalgety Crown entries: Better wether hoggets S17.60 to $23.70. Medium wether hoggets $15.30 to $ 1 7.00. Small wether hoggets $10.00 to $13.50. Ewe hoggets $18.00 to $23.30. T wo-toothed wethers $20. 1 0 to $24.40. M.T.t wo-toothed ewes $19. M.A. wethers $12.90 to $18.
