Waiouru swimming results

Eight records were broken at the recent Waiouru Amateur Swimming club annual championships. The new records are: 14 & 15 boys medley - Anthony Farmer, 1 .43.7; 9 & under boys 25m freestyle - JamieTe Miha, 18.6; 15 & 15 boys 100m freestyle - Anthony

Farmer, 1 .04.3; 9 & under girls 25m backstroke - Amy Maxwell, 23.7; 14 & 15 boys 100m backstroke - Anthony Farmer, 1.15.9; 9 & under boys 25m breaststroke - Jamie Te Miha, 26.9; 14 & 15 boys 100m breaststroke - Adam Farmer, 1 .27.5; 1 1 & over boys 50m butterfly - Anthony Farmer, 34.5. Trophy winners were: Most improved boy — Douglas Rogers. Most improved girl - Vicki Constable. Attendance boy - Lee Howe. Attendance girl - Rangi Seymour. Most points - Douglas Rogers. Perseverence boy - Anthony Herewini. Perseverence girl - Nicola Day.

Best over all; 9 & under girl - Victoria Chrystall; 9 & under bOy -JamieTe Miha; 10 & 1 1 girl - Rangi Seymour; 10 & 1 1 boy - Deon Te Miha; 12 & 13 boy - Greg Te Miha; 14 & 15 boy - Clayton Trotter. The club wishes to thank all the parents and members who helped make the day a success and those who worked behind the scenes doing the paper work. The club's winter programme will resume on 16th April.
