Accident
An accident occurred between a truck and a Ford Cortina on State Highway Four by the old Horopito Road intersection last Monday morning. The truck was heading north into old Horopito Road when the Cortina, which was heading south, collided with the truck. The driver of the car, Mr Colin Burrell, of Auckland, was taken to Waimarino Hospital for observation, but was later released. The driver of the truck, Mr Kenneth Young, of Ohakune, was unhurt. Two people who were travelling in a vehicle behind the truck, and witnessed the accident, were treated for shock in Ohakune by Doctor Perera.
