Policing concern

Ohakune Borough Council is to invite police Sergeant Neil Coker to its next monthly board meeting to discuss the level of crime in the town. At Thursday's board meeting, councillor Mike Wiggins said he was concerned at the way the town was being policed. He added that with the number of robberies and break-ins which were occurring at present in Ohakune, things were as bad as when the town had only one police officer. The council unanimously agreed to invite Sergeant Coker to discuss the issue with them.
