Earthquake
An earthquake, which was centred in Queen Charlotte Sound, was felt in the Ruapehu region on Thursday evening at approximately 8pm. The wide area over which it was felt was characteristic of the deep-seated earthquakes centred around Wanganui. The earthquake measured five on the richter scale.
