New spray unit will save time for market gardeners
Wanganui based, Viper Machinery, have been inundated with eriquiries from carrot farmers in the Ohakune area after they showed their new spray unit at the Waimarino A & P show.
The unit which is produced by Sprayrite N.Z. Ltd under licence, is a copy of a spray unit designed in Denmark. In addition to having a filter that cleans itself, the unit is completely controlled from within a tractor cab.
Viper Machinery spokesman, Hugh Fromont, said last week that such a new innovation could save market gardeners a lot of time. Mr Fromont was in Ohakune to deliver one of the spray units to Ray Wilson of Karioi.
