Paying a visit to Ohakune this week are Tommy and Peggy Pritt from the Lake District in England. The Pritts' are staying with Tommy's brother, wellknown local sheep farmer, Bill Pritt, and his wife Audrey. Tommy is also a farmer, and the two brothers have spent much of their time together comparing farming techniques and prices.

Tommy says costs are much higher in England and, although stock fetches better prices, farmers generally do not carry as much stock. One of the reasons Tommy and Peggy made the trip to New Zealand was for the wedding of their niece, Dianne, Bill and Audrey's daughter. Dianne was recently married to Craig Walker, who works as a ranger for Winstone Afforestation.
