Police File
Two thefts are being investigated by the Ohakune police this week — one from the Karioi pulp mill, the other from a parked vehicle. Between 26th and 29th January tools valued at about $150 were taken from an electrical engineers shed at the site of the Karioi Mill extension. Between 26th and 28th January a Sanyo tape deck, about twelve tapes and a car radio were taken from a truck which was parked near Ohakune's 'big carrot'. The truck was part of the road contractor's fleet and the stolen goods were owned by the truck's driver. The police are also looking for the owners of three items which were handed in to them recently. Two ladies watches and a •nylon jacket are now at the
police station awaiting their owners. Anyone who thinks they may be the owner of
any of these goods should call at the Ohakune police station.
