OHAKUNE COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL

The Ruapehu Country Music Club held an openair festival at the Ohakune Primary school last Sunday. The day was well supported by other clubs around the region, and from clubs as far south as Wellington. "The festival was held as a 'fun day' to get support and

to get to'know members of other clubs," said club member Mr Rob McGinniss. The members listened to music from the Ruapehu Club band -and other musicians who joined in the fun. The club hopes that Ohakune will become the venue for an annual club day in the future.
