Horse endurance club

A new horse-riding club has been formed in the Waimarino. It will be known as the Karioi Endurance Club. At a recent inaugural meeting, Mrs Pam McCready of Waiouru (phone 56-854) was elected President and Mrs Rosalleen Morris of Ohakune (phone

58-299) was chosen as Secretary. April 20th has been fixed as the date for the new club's first event. Requirements for those wishing to ride will be that horses must be over five years, horses must be fit and ingood condition and riders under the age of 16 years

must wear a riding hat or crash helmet. Farmers, polo cross competitors, pony club riders and anyone else who may be interested, are invited to get in touch with the newly elected officials for further details of the event.
