Turoa Tumblers Stage End-of-Year Display

Turoa Tumblers held their annual end-of-year display and prize-giving last Tuesday evening m the Ruapehu College and Community Gymnasium. The 70 or so young gymnasts — ranging in age from five to sixteen — entertained nearly 200 spectators with a whole range of acrobatic performances on a variety of gymnastic equipment. Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Glyn Hubbard who, in reviewing Tumbler successes during the year, said that local gymnasts had gained 82 first placings and won 13 gold medals in competitions throughout New Zealand and overseas.
