New Managers for Ohakune Hotel

Bruce Leggatt and his wife Mary are the new joint managers of the Ohakune Hotel. The Leggatts came from Turangi, two weeks ago where they owned several retailing shops. They have four children, the two youngest living with their parents at the hotel. Bruce is keen to become involved in the community as he was in Turangi. Both he and Mary have been involved in many local clubs. Bruce is a Turangi Borough Councillor until he

retires next year. He has also been President of the local pony club in Turangi for the last four years. He was chairman of the committee to set up a booklet on Turangi which promotes the town. Bruce believes that both Turangi and Ohakune are developing from small towns into tourist centres so would like to see closer ties created between the two. On New Year's Eve, the Leggatts have arranged a disco at the hotel with fancy dress ... prizes will be awarded.
