Anglers may be confused
Anglers are reminded that all the rivers in the Waimarino area are in the Rotorua Acclimatisation Society district and fishing permits must be obtained from the appropriate authority or agent. The Rotorua Acclimatisation Society district extends as far south as Koriniti on the Wanganui River Road half-way between Pipiriki and Wanganui — a fact that "must surely confuse fisherman," said Judge E.W. Unwin at last month's Ohakune court sitting.
