SCOUT LEADER CONFIRMED

At the Ruapehu Scout Group's committee meeting held on Wednesday 12 December, Mrs Raewyn Pearson was confirmed as Scout Leader for 1985 and Mr Kevin Pearson as assistant Leader. Concern was expressed at the implication in last week's Bulletin that there would be no Cub Pack in 1985. The committee is pleased to accept Mrs Yvonne Triggell as Cub Leader and Mrs Helen Hammond and Mr Jim Field-Mitchell as assistants for 1985. The camp which was proposed for the weekend of 15 and 16 December was cancelled as many cubs were unable to attend. Mrs Pearson was commended for her enthusiasm and effort in organising the camp and it is hoped that the Pack will be able to capitalise on that groundwork in the New Year. Parents of boys aged eight years or over who would like to know more about Cubs or Scouts for 1985 or who wish to enrol their children in the Pack or Scout Group are invited to contact Mr Jim Field-Mitchell or Mrs Raewyn Pearson both of Ohakune. Two new office-holders have been elected. Mr Mike Fetzer is the Group President in the interim and Mrs Roberta Brebner is the secretary until the 1985 Annual General Meeting.
