PHOTO FINISH
By a margin of one vote, Mary Wright has been elected . to the Ohakune Borough Council. She polled 180 votes as against Frank Taylor's 179 and Ritchie Akapita's 1 54, at last Saturday's Borough Council by-election.. Returning Officer, Edith Moore said on Sunday that there were 32 votes which were deemed invalid due to incorrect marking. She and other members of Council staff, recounted the votes three times before releasing the final figures.
