Machine course winds up

Fuel systems, operating principles and machinery repair are amongst the topics covered in Dekker Machinery's engine maintenance course. The class is held in the Dekker Machinery workshop in Raetihi and is taken by Paul Dekker. It was organised in conjunction with the Wanganui Regional Community College. "All the people that

started the course are still there," says Paul. The group ends next week but Paul is hoping to take another class as there has been much interest shown since the course started. Next time Paul is hoping to encourage women to take the course also. During the course, the students bring in such items as motorbikes, lawn mowers and chain saws which they learn how to fix.
