Turoa staff and their partners celebrated the end of the 1984 ski season with a sports afternoon and social evening at the Turoa Alpine Village site in Ohakune last Monday. About 60 people participated in the day's activities which were held in gloriously fine, warm weather. Tennis, golf and volleyball were the main sport options and players competed for prizes donated by AHI, The Sheepskin Shop, Ragtime, Photo Pharmacy and the Junction Ski Shop. The evening concluded with a barbecue but the novelty late-night cricket game of last year was replaced this year by another new sport... nocturnal grass toboganning!
