RECORD YEAR
MSD Speirsat Karioi has announced that the 1984-85 financial year is already a record one for production and that they have pre-sold their timber up to Christmas of this year. Spokesman Eric Pasquill said last week that much of the credit goes to the forty staff who have been working an average of 60 hours per week to meet demand. Their hard work has meant that the Company has not had to employ additional staff to see them through this busy period, only to have to lay them off when the workload lessens. "The staff have battled on working six days a week and they have taken the good times with the bad," Mr Pasquill added.
