Traffic Officer makes catch
Last Thursday night, local Traffic Officer Graham Cole, after six weeks of extensive enquiries finally 'arrested' a 3(4 pound trout from the Mangawhero River. This followed about eight low-speed chases and at least two involuntary
swims, a police spokesman said. Several Ohakune residents were awoken late Thursday night to open their door to Traffic Officer Cole and, as one witness describes, his grin was wider than the fish was long.
