'Plod Squad' pounds through Waiouru

The fund-raising police 'Plod Squad' pounded their way from Bulls to Waiouru last Saturday and then plodded on to Turangi on Sunday. There they took to the water and rowed the length of the lake to Taupo. This annual charity run is to raise money for the Te Omanga Hospice in the Hutt Valley.

This year the return route includes Taumarunui, New Plymouth, Wanganui and Ohakea before returning to Lower Hutt on Thursday.
