Petty thefts upset hospital staff

Two petty robberies from the Waimarino Hospital in Raetihi, haveupset Principal Nurse Betty Longcroft and Jessie Seaman from the XRay department. While Sister Longcroft was on her annual leave, a pair of white gumboots were taken from the Maternity Sterilising room. These boots are normally worn by Doctor Perera when he is delivering babies at the hospital. Sometimes during the weekend of 27/28 October, three plants together with their stands were taken from the Clinic Waiting Room at the rear of the hospital. These plants, and the others that are still left, are either donated or are the property of Mrs Seaman. "These plants are here for the enjoyment of the patients, it's really annoying that someone should have taken them," said Mrs Seaman. This is not the first time the plants have been tampered with. Apparent damage has been done to them over a period of twelve

months and Mrs Seaman has had enough. Should the person who took those plants be reading

this article, then we suggest that you return them to the hospital immediately and no further action will be taken.
