A number of people closely associated with the skiing industry in New Zealand got together at the Hobbit Restaurant for an apres ski dinner… they had just completed an enjoyable day's skiing on Turoa. There are, reading clockwise from left, Lorenz Rieser (back to camera), Arthur Thomas, Bill Tidswell, Don Shearer, all of Whakapapa, Gary and Colleen Steadman from Mt Hutt, Carl Braddock, manager of the THC Chateau, Ernie Steiglbauer and Nancy van der Laan (both obscured), Craig Spiess, Whakapapa ski school director and Robin Foubister, Turoa's mountain manager.
