Ruapehu College s entry •for the Press Release of the year contest was an entry put forward by Nicola Davey. Nicola's entry was chosen from 7 entries. All the entries were of high quality which made the fii r choice a difficult one. | On Thursday 27 Sep ' tember Ruapehu Co'leg. 1 held their annual Cros* Country. Competitors were made to run over a long muddy course. The competitors were divided into three main categories: Seniors, Intermediate and Juniors. The results were: Senior Girls — 1st Jillian Whale, 2nd Teresa McCarthy, 3 rd Jackie Gupwell. Senior Boys — 1st Lyndon Kurukaanga, 2nd Basil Brider, 3rd Darren Macdonnell. Intermediate Girls — 1st Rira Praebstal, 2nd Trudy Taura, 3rd Sharen Binzegger. Intermediate Boys — 1st Kirk Betty, Tony Phillips, Vance Skudder. Junior Girls — 1st Mary Whale, 2nd Melissa Brown, 3rd Maxine George. Junior Boys — lstAnthony Farmer, 2nd Glen Prattley, 3rd Bruce Francis.
