GARDEN PLOTS FOR SEDDON ST

The first of the garden plots proposed for Seddon Street is due for development soon. It will be sited on the corner of Seddon and Ward Streets in front of the former Dalgety Crown building, now Dekker Machinery. Cr. Ken Summerhays said that the purpose of this first plot, which will replace the corner parking space, is to give the public a chance to see what is proposed for each of the four corner sites in Seddon Street and to gauge public opinion. Cr. Andrew Cornwall said that whatever is done with this experimental showpiece "it must be done properly."
