OHAKUNE JUNIOR SOCCER CLUB
A 7-a-side tournament was held at Turangi on Sunday 16 September. The tournament consisted of two divisions — Under 13, Under 11. Teams from Ohakune, Raetihi, Turangi, Taihape and Taumarunui took part with a total of about 70 players. Ohakune had a team in each division. Results Under 13 Ohakune lost to Taumarunui B 2-1. Ohakune lost to Taumarunui A 1-0. Ohakune beat Turangi 4-0. Goal scorers for Ohakune were Anthony Callaghan, Regan Sue and Junior Kaata. Under 11 Ohakune beat Taihape 1-0. Goal scorer Carl Ram. Ohakune beat Taumarunui 3-0. Goal scorer Lance Callaghan (3). Ohakune beat Raetihi 5-1. Goal scorers Lance Callaghan (3), Peter Samson (2). Ohakune lost to Turangi 1-0. Final Placings Division 1 Taumarunui B 1st, Taumarunui A 2nd, Ohakune 3rd. Division 2 Ohakune 1st, Taihape 2nd, Taumarunui 3rd.
