Second place for College Ski Team

Defending champions, Ruapehu College, were placed second in the 1984 North Island secondary school's skiing championship. Fifty teams from throughout the North Island competed for the championship over Monday and Tuesday last week. Championship honours were taken out by an alL-girl team from Diocesan College in Auckland with 64 points followed by Ruapehu College with 62 points. «£

Ruapehu College team captain, Dean Harford said afterwards that, although the team were disappointed not to have regained the Skiland Trophy, they were pleased with their performance.
