ORAUTOHA WOOLSHED BALL GREAT FUN

• A woolshed ball held on Saturday 15 September at the Fahey Farm in Ohura Road, Orautoha, raised approximately $800-$900 for the upgrading of the tennis courts, said fundraising committee spokesperson, Mrs Nicky Williams, last week. "There were about 130 people there who paid $45 per double ticket." "Everyone in the valley helped with catering which meant that we had a lovely supper as well," she added. Kamiah, a Wanganui based band provided the entertainment which Mrs Williams described as excellent. o A fun day held on Saturday 1 September at the Orautoha tennis courts proved very popular. The day was to celebrate the end of the netball season and saw men pitting their netball prowess against the women and the women in turn taking them on in rugby. The day's fun ended with a well supported barbecue tea.
