Hot bread shop opens in Raetihi
Raetihi butcher, Ian Turner, recently opened a bakery shop in Seddon Street adjacent to his butchery. Open seven days a week, the bakery sells a cross section of breads including wholemeal, poppyseed, sesame seed and garlic bread as well as doughnuts, cream buns etc. During his first week in the bakery business Ian has been 'flat-out' supplying hot-bread to a growing number of customers as people in the Waimarino hear about this new taste-treat. "Considering we haven't even advertised yet I'm very pleased with the response even though its hard work ... we open at 6am every day and stay open until 4-5pm every evening. Asked if he was going to complete the treble by also
becoming a candlestick maker he said that was next on his list. Mr Turner is assisted in the shop by Isabelle Mosen, also of Raetihi.
