Waimarino wedding

The wedding of Adrienne Callaghan of Ohakune an Ian Lilburn of Raetihi took place at St Mary's Anglican Church in Raetihi on Saturday 8 September. The Rev. Bob Peck officiated. Adrienne is the eldest daughter of Glenys Shepherd of Ohakune and Jonathon Callaghan of Auckland. Ian is the only son of Beth and Stuart Lilburn who farm a Parapara Road property south of Raetihi. Following their marriage a wedding reception was held for more than 100 guests at the Ohakune Club. For Ian it was a double celebration ... he was 21 on the day and guests marked this occasion with a rousing rendition of for he's a jolly good fellow.' The bride wore a cream coloured wedding gown fashioned in a high-neck Victorian style. The couple will live on the Lilburn family property on the Parapara Road.

Bride and groom share the traditional cutting of the wedding cake at their reception in the Ohakune Club. More than 100 guests attended the function on Saturday 8 September. Catering was provided by the Palm Lounge in Wanganui and floral decorations were arranged by Mrs Elwyn Costello of Ohakune.
