PLUNKET APPEALS FOR FUNDS
The Ohakune Plunket Committee will be holding a cake, produce and clothing stall at 10am on Friday 28 September outside the Kings Picture Theatre in Goldfinch Street. The Committee urgently need funds at the moment as they are responsible for the financing and running of the Plunket Nurse's car. This costs the committee approximately $900 every three months and with costs rising there is a need for further fundraising. The committee appeals to all mothers of Plunket children to please support this venture with donations of cakes or any saleable item. Goods may be left with Diane Pasco, Jill Emmett or Margaret Weir. There will also be raffles of a painting by Joan Godfrey and a Mickey Mouse toy. Orders will also be taken for sheep manure and pinecones. The committee extend a welcome to any interested mothers who would like to join them on the committee. A portacot is available for hire... contact Barbara Deadman.
