NEW FACE AT COURT

The Ohakune District Court will see a new face qn the 20th of this month when Taihape 's recently appointed court registrar, Mr Bill Carran, will administer the business of the day. Mr Carran, who was appointed to Taihape last month, replaces Mr Erin Brady who held the position for nine years before transferring to Wellington as courts manager in July. Mr Carran told the Bulletin that this was his first appointment as a full court registrar ... in the eleven years he has been with the Justice Department he has held appointments as deputy court registrar at Wellington High Court, Wellington District Court, Wanganui Combined Court and at Levin where he was residing prior to his present appointment. He lists among his recreational interests hockey, shooting and fishing and expects to be able to take up these activities locally when he and his wife Sharon and their two children have settled into the Taihape community.
