Goldie survives
Two women and a family heirloom painting by famous New Zealand artist Charles Goldie were fortunate to survive an accident on the Desert Road last week. The driver suffered concussion and head lacerations when the Ford Escort car skidded on ice on the Moawhanga Dam Turnoff hill and rolled at about 8.20am, Sunday 25 August.
