Bauer hoax victim

Raetihi's Siggy Bauer, is out of work, out of money and in debt in Australia, after a promotions deal allegedly set up by an Australian promoter never existed. According to a report in Wellington's morning newspaper, The Dominion, Bauer is stranded in Woolongong, a coastal city in New South Wales after being told there had never been any arrangement to promote a sports mineral drink on a national tour. Bauer has in the meantime registered for the dole whilst attempting to find a bigpaying job in Australia's oil or mineral industry. He has apparently borrowed money from friends to tide him over and needs a job urgently to pay back the money as well as meet existing bills.
