Children stage 'Mini-Olympics'
Children from Rooms 24 and 25 seen here holding their flags, temporarily assumed a new nationality for the afternoon and participated in their own 'mini-olympics' recently. Five countries were represented at the mini games — England, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and U.S.A., and the children made appropriate flags to
display their patriotism. As in any Olympic games ceremony, the winners of the various events, which included sprints, shot-put, skipping and relay races, received a gold medal for their efforts. But unlike the L.A. gold medal recipients, the winners of these games had the added bonus of discovering that their gold medals were in fact edible!
