Cedar Mall as she feels that the new shop will offer her better display opportunities as well as more pedestrian, traffic particularly on Saturday mornings. Mrs Parkes is married to Wally Parkes, owner of Maata Supplies. They live just outside of Ohakune. Both are well known locally through their business and recreational interests.
