Model trains for auction

There is to be an auction of model trains at the 'Lions Den' in Arawa Street, Ohakune this weekend. This collection of more than 30 model train locomotives (measuring between 20cm-40cm in length) plus rolling stock such as passenger carriages and freight cars is said to be one of the best in New Zealand. It is believed that many model train enthusiasts and

potential buyers from all over the North Island will be attending this auction. An illustrated catalogue of the locomotives is available at $2 from the Ruapehu Lions Club or the Auctioneers, Dalgety Crown, in Ohakune and Raetihi. The auction is due to start at 1.00pm on Saturday 25 August.
