New information office for Ruapehu region
The new Ruapehu Region Information Centre opened for business last week. Situated right next to the Waimarino Bulletin office in Clyde Street, Ohakune, the Ruapehu Region Information Centre will also act as the Automobile Association information agency for the Waimarino. The AA agency will be a valuable source of additional information for tourists and visitors to the area as well as for local AA members. This Ohakune agency will fill an obvious need in an area between four other AA agencies all some distance apart — Wanganui, Taihape, Turangi and Taumarunui —
and will cater for all enquiries about the Ruapehu region including Turangi, National Park, Raetihi, Pipiriki, Waiouru and the Waimarino.
