WANGANUI SAVINGS BANK APPOINTMENTS
Mr Des Benson joined the Raetihi branch of the Wanganui Savings Bank as officer-in-charge earlier this month. Mr Benson, aged 23 and married, took up his new appointment on 13 August. He has given 634 years' service to the WSB, having held recent positions as loans officer for Wanganui branch and branch accountant at Mid-Avenue Branch. Mr Benson is a committee member of the Wanganui City Football Club and takes a keen interest in soccer, golf and indoor basketball.
The new manager of the Ohakune branch of the Wanganui Savings Bank is Mr Aubry Dodd. Mr Dodd took up his position on 6 August. He has recently joined the Bank to take this appointment, having had trading bank experience for over five years in various branches, and experience with Citibank N.Y. (London Branch) Investments for three months. Recently Mr Dodd was acting as a boatsman in white-water rafting tours on the Rangitikei. He is keen on rugby, show-jumping and most water sports including rafting, which he still hopes to pursue.
