HEALTH INSPECTOR APPOINTED

A health inspector has been appointed to both the Raetihi Borough and Waimarino County Councils. He is Michael John Sigley whose appointment was effective from Wednesday, 25 July. Both Raetihi Borough and Waimarino County have been without the full time services of a health inspector since the Health Department decreed that as from 1 April last all local authorities must appoint their own health inspectors. Up until now Ohakune has had its own health inspector in the person of its town clerk, Mr Colin Turner, but with his resignation becoming effective from last week the need for a replacement will have to be considered.
