Results of closing-day tournament held at Waiouru Saturday 4 August. Eight women's and 3 rnen's teams took part in very cold conditions. Games were 7 minutes each way with a round-robin being played. Men's teams played one another twice. Results Men — 1st Ruapehu College 1 lpts, 2nd Warriors 7pts, 3rd Cadets 6pts. Women — 1st Ruapehu College White 17pts (12 goals), 2nd Taihape College 17pts (5 goals), 3rd MST !6pts (8 goals), 4th Ranger
A 16pts (7 goals), 5th Waiouru 1 3pts (8 goals), 6th Ruapehu College Blue 1 3pts (3 goals), 7th Taihape College mixed lOpts (4 goals), 8th Ranger B lOpts (3 goals). A special award for 'bravest player of the day' went to 'Cameron Neilson, the Warrior's goalkeeper who was confronted all day with much older and agressive players. Saturday competition will conclude next Saturday when Rangers play MST at Taihape at 10.00am. This game was postponed due to bad weather and the result will decide 2nd and 3rd placings in the competition. MST have already won the Saturday competition. The men's Saturday competition was won by Ruapehu College Boys. A special award to the most improved team went to Taihape College Boys.
