Ohakune restaurant up for sale

The Grischuna Restaurant in Ohakune is up for sale. Strategically situated on the corner of Clyde Street and Miro Street opposite the Ohakune Hotel at the intersection of SH49 and SH49A it is in a prime position to catch the

attention of every traveller passing through Ohakune. But its proprietors, Christian Mullegg and Ladina Corretti, are going back to Switzerland. They took over a former workshop a year ago and turned it into a comfortable

Swiss-style restaurant with an attractive timber interior and a great stone fireplace much in evidence. They are disappointed at having to leave but have a job in Zurich that beckons them ... they were in Europe earlier this year. In the meantime, pending a purchaser, Christian and Ladina will continue to serve their Swiss type fare to the increasing number of Grischuna customers who will be coming to Ohakune during the ski season. Last week the small Swiss community in Ohakune celebrated Switzerland's National Day on 1 August.
