Special thanks and arohanui must go to both the Principals of Ruapehu College and Ohakune Primary, staff and pupils alike, the Fire Brigade for their prompt action, to Janey and Graham Dixon and children for giving us a bed for the night, all the ladies that helped us settle in. Thankyou to Mrs Jean McFarlane and all my working mates at the College, Olive, Teddy, Christine and Kura for doing my work, thanks a million girls. For all the many donations we received from Ruapehu College, Ohakune Borough • Council, Rotary Club, Kunikraft, Ohakune Electrical, Ohakune Hotel and Skiers Inn and to the New Zealand Timber Union. Very special thanks to all those people who participated in the concert at the Primary School Hall, especially to all the children who stayed up so late.
