'On the map' weatherwise
The Ohakune Borough Council will continue to press for the inclusion of Ohakune on the nightly TV weather map. Mayor Bill Taylor told fellow councillors last month that the letter he had sent to TVNZ four months ago had still not been answered. But he will keep trying as there seemed to be no reason why a daily temperature reading for this part of the country could not be included in the television "weather report.
