QE II ARTS COUNCIL MAKES APPOINTMENT
A frequent visitor and part-time resident of the Waimarino has been appointed to the Queen Elizabeth 11 Arts Council for a 3-year term. She is Jenny Pattrick, a Wellington craft jeweller, who also part-owns a holiday home in Rangataua and often spends time in the Waimarino with her family. She is the daughter of Wellington painter, Alona Priestley. A tutor at Wellington Teachers College in Karori, Jenny Pattrick is a past president of the Crafts Council of New Zealand. She takes up her new appointment on the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council in place of Auckland potter, Len Castle, who has completed his 3-year term.
