Pony Club comes out of recess and plans for next season
The Raetihi branch of the Waimarino Pony club held their AGM on Wednesday 23 May. This branch has just been brought out of recess and
will be in operation next season. There was a good turnout for the AGM ... twenty people in all. Pony Club manuals were on sale at $ 1 0
each and club membership fees were set at $10 per member of $20 per family. Officers were elected, these being Alison MacGregor as president, Linda Keith as secretary, Nikki Williams as branch co-ordinator and Rachel Mason as publicity officer. Delegates to the Waimarino club are Claudia Mason and Cathy MacLean. The branch uniform will be the yellow short-sleeved pullover of the Waimarino Club and the yellow tie worn by the previous Raetihi branch. Wool for jerseys is available from the club. One piece of necessary equipment is a hard hat. These should be of the crash helmet type, as no rider can participate in jumping activities without one. These hats must conform to safety specifications number 8601. Activities planned so far: an indoors rally in the first week of the August school holidays with a film being shown and a riding rally in the second week. Also planned are instructors courses in the first and third weekends in November.
