Lethal lamb?

Two lambs which were killed and removed from a property between Ohakune and Raetihi two weeks ago might do the same for the thieves who stole and slaughtered them. The lambs had just been drenched and if their meat was consumed the consequences could be serious, said Raetihi's constable Kevin Entwisle. "But I don't expect anyone finding themselves very ill as a result of eating the meat to report sick ... they would probably prefer to suffer in silence rather than risk the chance of being identified," he said.
